Home/Practice

Four practices

One standard of evidence, applied four ways.

Each practice answers a different question — can this business borrow, is this institution governable, what is recoverable, what will a programme actually deliver — but all four end in documentation that survives the room it is meant for.

01 / Access to finance

Access to finance OFAP

Thousands of Nigerian businesses are eligible for concessionary and commercial credit but cannot access it: financial records are thin, the business plan is a formality, and the application does not survive credit review. We close that gap with documents a lender can underwrite.

What we do

  • Eligibility diagnostics against BOI, DBN, NIRSAL and bank criteria
  • Bankable business plans and three-statement financial models
  • Application packaging, submission and lender follow-up
  • Collateral, security and covenant structuring
  • Post-approval compliance and drawdown support
For
SMEs in manufacturing, agribusiness, healthcare and trade

02 / Governance

Governance and institutional development CGID

Family-owned and fast-growing businesses reach a point where the founder's judgement is no longer enough: investors ask for a board, banks ask for controls, and the next generation asks for a structure. We build the institutions that answer those questions.

What we do

  • Board composition, charters, committees and evaluation
  • Organisation design, role architecture and delegation of authority
  • Performance management and capability frameworks
  • Risk, compliance and internal control frameworks
  • Succession and family-business governance
For
Family businesses, high-growth SMEs and maturing enterprises
Outcome
An institution an investor or regulator can assess

How it runs

  • Diagnostic and document review
  • Structures drafted with the board, not imposed on it
  • Implementation support through the first cycle
  • Handover with the manuals, registers and calendars in place

03 / Distressed debt

NPL workout and debt recovery

Bank-facing restructuring, workout and receivership mandates across northern Nigeria, with NGN 4.7 billion resolved to date. The work is unglamorous and evidence-led: establish the position, secure the assets, then recover value in an order the creditor can defend.

What we do

  • Receivership appointments and asset preservation
  • Portfolio triage and recoverability assessment
  • Workout structuring and restructuring proposals
  • Creditor negotiation and consent solicitation
  • Asset realisation and distribution reporting
Track record
